i have a 03 maxima SE and that thing is fast! i never knew how fast and powerful they were until i bought mines! fast cars.

because the wheels were sliping but the gearbox thought the gear changing speed had reached.

keep that traction control ON to prevent a short shifting first gear. yeah the traction control gives you slower 0-30 times but in the long run helps out 0-60 times and quarter mile times to keep first gear from shifting short. 0-60 in 7 sec is okay but that car should be capable of bout 6.5

the drop off in rpm was due to the spinning of the tires in 1st gear. The transmission thought the car was up to speed but it really was not so it shifted to 2nd to early. Next time use the gear selection and shift to 2 when the car is going close to 40 in 1st not the guage.

Why did the revs drop so low after going into second gear? Thats what killed your 0-60 time. It absolutely hauled ass through all of first gear, but once it went into 2nd the power dropped. Are they supposed to shift like that?
