@TwinklesPussMaster61 How do you mod a 7.62, belt fed GPMG into a SAW exactly? FN produced the Minimi (M249 for the yanks) as a 5.56 SAW. The GPMG (M240) is desighned to cover and advance/retreat and defend fixed positions. The guy with the m249 goes in with the section (squad) to provide overwhelming firepower as and when the squad needs it.
