More than a dozen activists took the hill, literally, on Capitol Hill to protest the repeated stories in the news this year about police and local town officials shutting down lemonade stands, yards sales etc.
Peaceful activists, including myself went out to prove a point on principle, in a free society/ country, you have a natural right do sell or retain your property as you see fit, and should be able to do so, on public property (or private w/ consent) w/out the tax of getting a "license" to sell your goods.
Activists sold cups for 10 Cents. 3 Arrests, 3 charges a piece, "Disobeying an Order", "Vending without a permit" and "Unlawful Conduct".
Poor drones.

Those poor policeman probably never had childhood and never sell lemonade either.

@Clongane94 Did you know how easy it is to get a permit to sell lemonade? Also Americans are not immediately sent off to prison on suspicion of being a terrorist with due process. Your blowing things out of proportion just like the tea-party nuts and the repubs do.

lets see,cop says"i got a job that pays me six figures, when they say lock people up,i am going to do it" to the cop that said that, and the ones that think that way> what side will you pick when we go flat busted on our faces? your pensions will be gone,YOU are protecting the wrong side, how about your families? when the economy falls, after the dollar goes to nothing, those six figures will not mean shit, choose a side, but choose wisely, and to the venders, maybe try for a permit nxt tme,cvr ur ass

@cf19d Did you know that at any given moment, Americans can be arrested under suspicion of being terrorists and not given a free trial, just sent immediately to prison? And you try to tell me that's not violating any of our liberties? That's obviously in direct violation of the 5th amendment. And not to mention the SOPA & PIPA acts, that basically give the government the ability to censor the internet at will, similar to what they have in Iran and China. That's a violation of the 1st amendment.
