Before his acting career, Lewis Collins earned his money, amongst others, as a musician. Most famous band were 'The Mojos' where he played the bass from 1964 upto 1966/67.
Fortunately I found enough pics to go with a Mojo's song. Enjoy!

  • Hi Sunshine,

this sure is a nice vid! I'm too young to have heard of the Mojos if they didn't make it to the international charts but I did like this song... very much, as it was the sentiment that took hold of me. This is actually going to my playlists! Would have done that even if Lew hasn't been there ;-) How on earth did you find all those photos and stuff????? Lew looked so cute as a youngster ...

  • I'm as well too young as I didn't 'live' the 60's, I just have vague memories of The Beatles, Stones etc, but that's about it. But being a Fan of Lew you can't avoid this part of his life *g*

It's not exactly my kind of music, but it is a catching tune.

A lot of the material are from the official Pros mags and several teen mags.

Thanks again for your nice comment!

  • Thanks for the perk; I feel very sorry that Lew missed so many opportunities in his light weight career. he could have been a great actor and a good singer as well (I know he's not singing here but he's got a nice voice, as expressive as his face. Lazy boy!

  • @mrgeorgebanjoman I really liked the music and the voice: I am a baby boomer but I missed the Beatles and all that; at the time I was heavily in...Bach and Mozart. Now I"m discovering the music of my youth, thanks to fannish hobbies and fanfiction. it's fun to be a retarded teen-ager at sixty.

  • There is a picture in your compilation that shows five guys walking up-hill. The second from the left is Lewis Collins and the fourth from the left, Terry O'Toole. Have you any idea just who the other three are, and if possible what the name of the band/group was?

  • Something new for John Nolan !!!

  • my flat mate in golders green

  • MoJo's "Forever" one of the best tracks of the 60s wasted as B Sided of their first single, anyone want to post it.

  • Hello Mr Swindon 3, I'm thinking that you must have seen the group live for you to make that statement, if that's the case

maybe you could relate your memories of the gig that left you with a negative opinion of the group.

  • no thanks bad enough first time
