The Army is protecting the environment with its Formerly Used Defense Sites program. The Corps of Engineers cleans up contamination at former military properties across the country. There are sites in nearly every state, and more than 500 in Alaska alone. Mary Cochran reports from one very remote FUDS site. The project won the Secretary of the Army Award for Environmental Restoration.
