@MrMultitool The one I used is just off of some old air handler heat strip, you can get a suitable relay, say a 9340 or the like at any supply store, just make sure that it is rated to handle the amperage that the blower requires! Thats' the only important bit besides making sure it's secure!

I have a Trane xb80 the heater was not working but the fan was blowing. I did some checking and i took out the limit switch and bridged the the wires and the heat kicked back on. it worked for that time the next time i got a new limit switch installed it and nothing worked after that point. i checked the control board and the led light is dead no blinking. i have a multimeter but im not sure how to test for current or power can you help me identify what my issue is. Thank you"!

You want to lose weight . I loss 37 lbs in about 2 months or so . I rode a bike and did the total gym .But winter is setting in and its getting harder to walk and ride my bike for weight loss .

I remember a strange feature on my father's 1950s FHW boiler: an electrical box with a knob identical to the ones on the oil valves (like something out of a 3 stooges movie). A twisted-pair came out of it and ran along the chimney, then around the perimeter of the attic; looked like a fire-sensing cutoff. Do modern HVAC systems have anything like this? It would seem like a good way to keep the blower from spreading a fire from room to room.

Can you or have you already do a Video to demonstrate how to field or bench test a multi speed indoor blower motor to determine if it is good or bad - one that will show both a good and a bad motor being tested and the corresponding results on the meter as you do it? I'm a service tech now with 30 years in HVAC industry but virtually none on service side of the business - hope you can. Keep the bids coming - just what guys like me need.
