Ha, that's a shame - I saw it on 200th generation VHS in about 1990 (a copy owned by the bloke who also showed it to Adi Newton) and it was in English and I'm certain the "he's hidden away no doubt..." etc. is from it.

Love that blaring trumpety-sound. Makes me think of something sinister and Empire-like, Romanesque. Slight sample of crowd roar in there too, adds to that

I think the opening sample and the women panting are from Doctor Jekyll Et Les Femmes a.k.a. The Blood Of Doctor Jekyll dir: Walerian Borowczyk?

it's ONE of their best songs...
are there ANY "bad" tracks
by CLOCKDVA EVER???????
psy

@skathan ~ Dammit I knew the source at one time. Is it from Powell's 'Peeping Tom'? The sample "All the rooms were wired for sound" is from that.

I seem to find zero to little information about the opening sample to this song. To me, the vocal pattern and timbre sounds like Burgess Meredith, but I'm still not 100% sure. I'd also like to know where that sample is from.
Great album, great band. I wonder if it's really true that Dahmer was listening ot this when he got arrested.
