another easy tip is to put your xbox on its side. i got the red ring within 5 minutes of playing and i put it on its side and it never happened again

People buy xbox360 SLIM! It has much better cooling system and if You don't play more than 4 hours straight You won't get RROD! My friends' arcade worked for two and a half years because he played 3 hours max.. Immagine how long could a SLIM last..

lot faster way than the towel trick basically does the same thing though,using 2 Q-tips only takes 5 min video of how on here that to would likely make things worse however

RROD is caused by the DVD drive to make micro vibrations causing to make the CPU and GPU to get loose not by overheating, overheating is just the fans not spinning.
By installing the games will not use the DVD drive to be in use......and makes no vibrations to the system and after gaming do not move it, moving it will get the parts loose.

MICROSOFT HAS A THREE YEAR WARRANTY IF YOU BOUGHT THE AND IT ONLY HAS THE RROD EVEN THOUGH THE STANDARD WARRANTY LAST 1 YEAR. IN THE XBOX MANUAL

Tht is a good question, why does the xbox already have a red light in it!!!!! i have a xbox and i love it but if they just put the heating vent thing on the top like the playstation 3 it would never get the RROD!!!!! i hope there next model of the xbox is not shit and is not a scam!!!!!

i think all this is a fraud
why did they make the rrod flashing lights to come out.
they knew this would happen.
So now u have to pay for a new 1 or 100 bucks to repair it
why do they explain the error cause they know it will happen its a plan that i say would never get fixed

Its because of the cooling system
And you may be right because the cooling system in the xbox 360 is small and sucks and makes the GPA Flex and die on you
