Ls1 camaro= Full bolt ons, Nitrous, Tuned, Cammed, Slicks, 6speed with Moser rearend.

  • Idt the ss had the greatest run. I think it is capable of much faster runs.

  • Most cammed ss never make it out of the 12s i constantly go to tracks. The ss is a stick. He hit every gear. He did have it tuned 3 hours before he went to track.

  • I have a 99 Z28 with a stall, gears, stock ls6 heads, ory headers & y pipe and a shitty tune I run 11's so I dont see how a cammed ls1 can't break out of the 12's. My buddy has a TA with about the same mods asNMR & a 75 shot and he ran 10.9's. So something must not be working right.

  • @warman391 True..my 01 WS6 ran 13.18@102mph with only a lid. I had the T56 built, LS7 clutch,LT headers,3in ORY and run 12.49@112...dont seem that great from where I started but it takes a whole lot to break into 11's with boltons. I've read alot on bolt on LS Fbodys breaking into 11.90s, but its set up very good. I have only seen 1 LS1 F body run 11.80s with cam only, but most cammed F bodys run honestly around what I run and I dont have suspension, DRs. People cant just go fast with big cam!

  • what should a lt1 with a 150 shot be rated at for hp and ft-lbs?

  • @l91camaroz28l superior for racing maybe because of the power to weight ratio but its not as durable as a cast iron block like the LT1 has.

  • from the info, they do both have Nos.

    the ls1 has an aftermarket cam when the LT1 doesnt. it just has 2500 stall, which isnt very aggressive.

    that M6 LS1 launches hard with that Moser though!!! id like to see his 60' time...

  • yea he isnt saying there arnt many ls1's that are going sub 12's he is saying CAM ONLY ls1 rarely make it out of the 12's. hell nitrous can make a honda break 12's but reliability goes right out the window when you spray a BIG shot like that. ill be running a mild 100 shot this spring. looking to see low 12's high 11's on a good launch but my stock rear wont hold it.

  • the ls1 left earlier thats why he was ahead at the end. the timing system doesnt start till you trip the beams so the ls1 could have left 4 sec earlier and the lt1 would have the better time even tho the ls1 got to the end of the track first

  • true but the ls1 is a newer supierior block. alum block, 6 bolt mains,alum heads....etc the lt1's are still a strong block and can hold to alot you just get more hp gains from the same mods with a ls1.

  • If both of them had full boltons and NOS that LS1 would have eaten that LT1
