Target is dealing with a class action lawsuit now because they aren't using image alt tags. Image alt tags are used in your code to describe what your website images are. Blind website visitors, for example, rely on these to improve the experience of visiting a website. Long a staple in the search engine optimization tool chest, image alt tags can improve the usability of your site resulting in repeat visitors and more traffic.

StumbleUpon is fun, fun, fun! Ever used Stumble? You just install a little plugin and it places buttons on your browser that allow you to vote thumbs up or thumbs down for websites. Also, you click the Stumble button and you are taken to a random, interesting website. The more you Stumble, the more it understands what you like and don't like. And you can see what other people with similar interests as you like.

StumbleUpon is great fun but it also can be used as a powerful marketing tool. If you are putting out quality content be sure to submit it to StumbleUpon. With 3.5 million registered users StumbleUpon has an audience you need to reach. Not only will they visit your site, they'll bookmark it, link to it and tell friends about. There are more ways to find sites than search so take advantage of social media opportunities.

Nearly twice as many consumers trust online reviews over search ads according to a new survey released by Nielson. 78% of people asked say they trust websites based on recommendations from consumers. Low on the trust scale: text ads on mobile phones 18%, online banner ads 26%, search engine ads 34%. People love recommendations. It's one of the reasons why we all go to Amazon to shop... recommendations. It's a social world and you need to get social!
