I am glad things are really improving, we need strict laws against women harasssment in the name of dowry and similar offenses.

thats true, things are improving, but we cannot over look the fact that sometime these anti-dowry laws are abused by women. the laws in india are way to leanient towards women. we also have to realize that men are victimized by certian laws and traditions as well.

Very nicely done. I think its very important that the world knows how Indian women are being treated and other women in general too. Oppression against women is a major problem especially in India and its unbelievable that after many years of feminism this problem is still there. Its about time people step up and realize that this is a big issue and take actions to correct it.

We are often left with a sense of "what can we do." Simply being educated about these inequalities will encourage all of us to be a part of a cause to create change. We cannot raise our children in which these injustices STILL happen. We have the ability to create life in a dish, to build a space station, and to communicate within seconds to people on the other side of the world but we don't have the decency to treat our own human kind with respect and dignity.
