Last night at around 9:45 p.m. the Modesto Police Department along with E.M.S. crews were dispatched to the intersection of Tully rd. and W. Union Ave. for reports that there had been a high speed collision between a S.U.V. and a motorcycle.
When the first crews arrived on the scene they could not locate the rider of the motorcycle for several minutes until they found him in the backyard of a house on the corner of the intersection.
The man had gone airborne during the crash having been ejected from his motorcycle up and over the fence, striking a street sign, and then striking the wall of the house.
The man was transported to an area hospital where he died a short time later.
Witnesses to the crash estimated the man was riding his motorcycle at over 100 miles per hour and also stated that he did not have his headlight on when the S.U.V. driving southbound on Tully Rd., attempted to make an eastbound turn onto W. Union Ave. turning into his northbound path.
The driver of the S.U.V. is not expected to be facing any charges.
Modesto News .org went to the scene to bring you this footage of the crash site along with this written account of what happened.

Absolutely no way he was going that fast, he turns on that street to go home, 2 blocks from there. He was a daredevil, but not an idiot. Rip Aaron. You will definitely be missed.

@grmnmetal fyi, I don't think the motorcyclist was making a turn, it was the driver of the SUV according to the reports, anyway. Sad situation.

Saw this last night while walking to obryans. we were probably 300 ft away on the bike path almost to standiford when it happened. Really horrible. My heart goes out to his friends and family. We could here him coming up standiford, fast. A couple witnesses closer to the scene said he was on the backwheel, but not sure if I believe that. The collision sounded like a bomb going off, and he was thrown a long ways. Over a fence into a backyard. That doesn't happen when your doing 35mph.
