Dixie Hills apts- Atlanta, Georgia

These are the Dixie Hill apartments located in West Atlanta- zone 1. This is the first time I ever actually drove through this wonderful neighborhood infested with blight. Boarded up houses, houses crumbling to the ground and then these apartments. I am now a believer of Dixie Hills.

so are these Hillcrest Heights in Dixie Hills? Do they just call it "dixie hills" now or is hillcrest heights a diffeernt place? These apartments were VERY involved in the atlanta child murders

@lizzym3 I think Hillcrest Heights or Homes are the apartments on Stanton Rd that are about to be razed. I don't know the actual name of these apartments though. I got a video and some pictures of the apartments on Stanton Rd coming up.

@terminuszone1 what street are these on? A lot of sources say victims, LaTonya Wilson and Cynthia Montgomery lived in Hillcrest Heights in Dixie Hills and LaTonya lived on 2261 NW Verbena Street and Cynthia lived on Shirley place

@lizzym3 I know Verbena is one of them because I remember driving down it. I don't remember seeing an actual sign. There is about 3 sections of apartments over there...this is only one. Folks actually live in the rest of them if there not boarded up.

@lizzym3 - Term is correct.  Hillcrest Homes is in East Point on Stanton Road (RIP). Dixie Hills is a neighborhood. I bet one of the Dixie Hill apartments was onced named Hillcrest Heights. But today, all three of those jumbled up together apartments in Dixie Hills on Verbana Road (where the girls were murdered) are called Hidden Village, Crystal Estates, and Verbena Gardens. Haven't been there in a while, but it wasn't nothing nice back in the day.
