Some people don't like emos cause of how they act. Girls look at emo guys and think they look handsome, or they get to know the emo guy and they admire the feelings he has. The guys will look at them and think "you're a guy, stop acting like you have emotions like a girl." Originally, emo wasn't bad, but now it is cause it has been taken the wrong way and now most people will say they are emo cause they cut. So being emo now is kind of bad, if you are the stereotype one.
