I live close by Lake Mjoesa. I wisited the salvage site when the Halifax had been lifted on to the beach. It's nice to see the finished restorated airplane.

Excuse my dumb iPad ...he flew 74 missions over enemy territory. He was in the RAF he passed away in 2008. he was 85 he was an arist ( painter) in Paris and he was a great friendly humane decent person

My father's best friend Steve Minett was a Halifax pilot during WW2, he flew 74 operations over enemi
