I have the 4.7 in my dakota, it gets a decent amount of highway towing use, but regular synthetic oil changes and it's run for 56K miles without a single hiccup or issue whatsoever. I love it aside from the lousy fuel mileage

Hey Eric, I recently "encountered" severe engine chatter in my 2004 3.7 Dakota, 5spd. Will be replacing engine. Would you know if it would matter if the donor engine is coming from an automatic?
daniells71 4 months ago
@daniells71 It SHOULN'T matter however sometimes there are differences in emission controls, it's probably not a big deal if that's the case as you should be able to swap things over.
