This is wonderful! Mr. Somers' imitable orchestration comes across splendidly, while the "oriental" lyrics sound so quaint. I love the intro before the vocal - especially the gong crashes...

Many thanks for that info-i will look into getting it.I do have a 78 of Cicely Courtneidge somwhere singing songs from the film,and also a great Jay Wilbur 78 of "the winds in the west",and "We'll all go riding on a rainbow",i may look out for next weekend.

Does anyone know of a copy of"Aunt Sally" a 1933 Cicely Courtneidge film that apparently included Leslie Holmes singing with Debroy Somers band.I recall it being on tv,but for some reason didnt record it at the time-very annoying!!
