Meeting Millvina Dean - Last Titanic Survivor

Ironically, the same day the Titanic was launched
May 31, 1911.

After writing to Millvina, I had the chance opportunity to meet her in Red Deer Alberta in 1998. She remembered my letter, and she asked me to tag along all afternoon, and I got autographs and a few hours of video. It was a fundraiser dinner and I only hoped I'd at least get to shake her hand! The dinner started late, and I had to catch a Greyhound back to Edmonton, and I gave my $80 dinner ticket to a girl who let me spend time in her small coffee shop she worked at. She was dressed for the occassion and I got more than I hoped for. She was shocked. What a day!
*** Just for your information *** The times where the camera is not aimed is because I am trying to blindly aim it while resting my arm to give the appearance to all that the camera is not taping. This way I could record natural conversing between Ms. Dean and all of us.

How old was she when it sank?

@Jenema2 - she was born Feb 2 1912, Titanic hit the iceburg around 11:30 pm April 14 1912 and sank 2:20 am April 15 1912. So she was about 10 weeks old.

@vanessa19436 - yeah that's right.... you got me - I spent 15 years cropping myself into this entire video of an old lady celebrity who had a delusion of being on the Titanic when actually she is the sole survivor of the Concorde crash a few years back so I dubbed the word Titanic in every time she said the word plane or fly.... thank God for sharp eggs like you eh?!
