Boca Raton, FL Investigators from the Boca Raton Police Services Department are investigating an armed robbery of a Subway at 690 West Yamato Road. The incident happened shortly before 10:00 pm Tuesday, January 13th.
According to the Subway employee, Cynthia Maddy, she was making a sandwich for customer, Alan Riddle, when a black male walked into the store pointing a black handgun at both of them. The suspect then ordered the customer, Riddle, to the floor and told him to hand him his wallet, wedding ring, and watch. The suspect at the same time ordered the employee, Maddy, to open the register and give him the money inside. The suspect then reached over the counter and took the rest of the money out of the register. The suspect then fled the store on foot south toward the Tri-Rail station. No injuries were sustained.
The suspect, viewed on surveillance video, is described as a black male, 16-20 years old, 130-160 lbs, with shoulder length black braided hair. He was described as wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and blue jean shorts. The suspect also had a tattoo on the top of his right hand.
