@ZerkerOwn $6 for Descent 1 + Descent 2 on GOG.com, with ready-to-play DosBox, no DRM at all.
If you want physical copies (Descent 1 + Descent 2), Amazon : new => around $50-60, used => $15-20.

@daskraut DosBox (check DosBox or DXX Rebirth forum for help) - or just get it on GOG.com (6 bucks), it comes with a simple installer (with ready-to-play DosBox settings) and hasn't any DRM (= you can download it whenever you want, install it on all your computers, carry it on a thumbdrive, etc)
I'm currently playing this game for the 1st time (yup! was slightly too young when Descent came out) thanks to GOG.com, it works perfectly (without any tweaks) on a Windows Vista (<= !!) notebook ! :D

This level has the best music throughout the entire game...it has that certain beat to it that it is really boss.

Try it with DosBox. Or with D1x-Rebirth. You won't notice a difference, except for the midi music.
