  • WOW beautiful tank! I have a question tho. i just bought an 46 gallon bowfront aquarium and was wondering about the light you are using. Are u using the lighting system that came with the aquarium or did you buy another one? I'm trying to do a planted tank also but I read from many places that you need at least 3 watts per gallon. But some bulbs dont come in such high wattages instead they have different intensities. Should I be looking at wattages or the intensity/different spectrums.Thank You

  • @Infinity1519 You need additional light. I used a double compact flourescent strip light from Coralife. I also used a small strip light on the fron of the tank. The kind with the small diameter flourescent light. I cant remember the exact wats per gallon but I think it was over 3 watts per gallon. I unfortunately had to move and give away the aquarium, so I don't have it anymore.

  • what type of plant is it that you show at about 2:50 into your video??? I want it for my planted tank but dont know what to order. thanx

  • riccia fluitans I got it on ebay from a seller based in texas. It is actually a floating plant but wrapped a hairnet around a stone and put a clump in. It grows well with CO2.

  • what kind of substrate are you using?

  • substrate is a mix of seachem fluorite red and ecco complete planted aquarium substrate. The ecco complete is the best. It is small grain easy to place plants, comes pre-washed in some supposedly good water (small amount mixed in the bag. just put in the tank and fill. No water cloud issues.

  • Is that Red Sea Co2 Reactor (200)? I mean, is it the 200? lol... Just want to make sure. Looking for a better diffuser than the ladder...came with Nutrafin CO2 Natural Plant System.

  • Great tank, and great pearling of the plants with CO2, How often do you trim that sucker?

  • Just.. wow.

  • I adore your tank, it is absolutely beautiful! I am getting a 46 bowfront this next friday and hope to make my tank as wonderful as yours! Absolutely fantastic!

  • beautiful

  • i have two questions about the co2 system. i have the same red sea co2 reactor and mine is very loud. is that normal. Right now i just started it for the first time and its been one day since i added the powder stuff. How long did yours start to bubble?

    Thanks for the help

  • What kind of light do you have ?

  • I believe it's the ludwigia, I've got some in my tank as well.
