BAC Strikemaster "The Dragon"
Andy Anderson
2007 NAS Oceana Airshow
NAS Oceana, Virginia Beach, VA
Friday September 7, 2007
IN THIS VIDEO, watch as Andy Anderson flies his BAC167 Strikemaster in a short demonstration over NAS Oceana. Andy's demo was the last thing I shot video of that day until the Blue Angels, since I decided to put down the camera and watch the Skytypers.
If you are interested in purchasing DVDs of specific aircraft or of airshows, interested in everything related to airshows (where the jet teams will be, all airshow performers, airshow reports from airshows I have attended, previews of airshows I will be attending, etc.), and/or everything related to aviation - including spotting guides to my favorite airports and military bases and aircraft factfiles, please check out Steve's Airshow World at www.stevesairshow.com .
The aircraft that crashed in to the Hudson was a different Strikemaster owned by Andy/Dragon Air, but was being flown by Michael Faraldi.

The aircraft that crashed was N167SM google it. This looks to be N2146J also Andy Anderson was not the pilot of the aircraft that crashed.

thats a beauty of a plane. if it was pilot error, he killed it along with himself. at least he died doing what he loved,

Sadly, this aircraft was lost when it crashed in the Hudson river yesterday just north of New York City. The pilot is belived to have been killed. No word yet on a cause.

this plane crashed about 1:30 today like 5 miles away from my house. he was doing fly-bys for his friends and they say it seemed to have stalled and went stright down in to the water.

I just read (2/25/11) that a Strikemaster crashed in the Husdon river near Kingston NY. It was described as having a "Green Dragon" painted on it's nose, I was wondering if this is that aircraft. The report said that the pilot probably didn't survive. I hope it isn't him.

Kind of a turbine beechcraft. Must be fairly docile to fly.
