  • @luke12337 I missed it and will never recover from it (Unless they come back) =( I hope you had an amazing time!

  • I can understand why they rejected it. Great song. Great performance. but the mix is wack. I guess in 1964 they couldn't fix it. They only had a 3 channel recorder then. Its mostly mono and overdubbed.

  • @sauquoit13456 Martha Reeves and the Vandellas appeared in the music video for Sheena Easton's version of "Jimmy Mack." Please watch closely.

  • JUST MADE IT.... In 1967 "Jimmy Mack" peaked at No. 10 thus just making Billboard's Top 10 and it spent a total of 14 weeks in the Top Hot 100!!!

This record reached No. 1 on Billboard's R&B Singles chart...

Notable covers: Sheena Easton, Laura Nyro, Bonnie Pointer, Phil Collins, & Karen Carpenter...

  • @liMissrockchik09 im 19 years old and i rmember this music from the oldies station back when it played doo wop and 50s music

  • A blessing to have seen them in person during our homecoming dance or lyceum series at Knoxville College (1967 or 68). Even more special that my GRANDMOTHER Doll said she thought of me when she heard 'Jimmy Mack.' Great memories.

  • so looking forward to seeing Martha on sunday in Glasgow

  • God, I love the bass kicking in at the first verse. So good
