The construction on the GA-316/I-85 interchange is complete now and it is a _mega_ improvement! Now to do something about I-85 and Jimmy Carter Blvd . . .

I-485 Well Planned? The first segment south of the city is only 2 lanes each way, that's very bad planning and the last segments on the north end are taking forever to finish. I-285 Goes down to 3 lanes (2 at I-75) through major interchanges because most traffic is either coming or going on to those major interchanges (I-75, I-85) You see 3 and 4 lane exit ramps at those junctions for that purpose so I hardly see the lane gains/losses as a negative, it's all about distributing traffic.

I beg to differ, while this interchange (especially for only a state maintained freeway / Interstate 85) is pretty impressive in comparison to what it used to be, Interstate 485 around Charlotte was very nicely planned. It is by FAR better than I-285 which constantly loses and gains lanes around interchanges with Interstates. I-285 West/South in Marietta infact goes from 7 lanes one way to 2 lanes one way (bare minimum) as it crosses I-75 in the course of just 1 mile. Can you say Bottle Neck?

Way cool! You've given me new driving music for my work commute. You showed my route exactly.

I'll probably film it again when the construction is finished.

The construction was finished about a month or so ago. :)

I'm well aware of that :)
Getting the time film it in reasonable traffic conditions is another story.
