Concerning Hobbits

We noemden de dans altijd de 'Hobbitdans', omdat het klassieke muziekstuk uit Lord of the Rings komt.

De dans is oorspronkelijk gemaakt voor een optreden in de Haagse Dansweek in het Spuitheater Den Haag, met allerlei dansstijlen van verschillende dansscholen.
Uiteindelijk bleek het een groot succes (:P) te zijn en hebben we de dans op verschillende plaatsen in Nederland gedanst. Onder andere het openluchttheater van het Zuiderpark Den Haag, een gemeentefeest van Lansingerland en dus ook in Hoofddorp.

De dans begint met klassiek ballet, dan volgt een overgang met moderne dans naar streetdance.
Dit is een verkorte versie i.v.m. de verplichte duur van de dans op de wedstrijd. In de originele, langere dans zit ook nog salsa.

If it were just the Concerning hobbits part without the hip-hop bit, then it would've been better. Did they want to mix up ballet with hip hop so therefore incorporated all these different music?
