Very lovely video - Franco Corelli always brings something extra in live performances - it was beatifully paced singing leading to his usual wonderful soaring the heights at 8 minutes! Also like the translations of the text with the photographs.

Corelli was such an extraordinary singer/actor. He had the voice, the temperament and the looks. The moment I first heard his voice I was entranced by the lush full sound. He could make his voice soft as a whisper one moment and then produce thunderously powerful notes the next. I loved Tucker's sound too. There was a voice to die for, but he never really acted or looked his parts.Corelli had the voice, the temperament and the looks. He was the total package!

Not many singers have everything: A HUGE voice, amazing stage perona (in spite of his pathological stage fright) and well... so gorgeous!!! Bravo, Corelli!!

my father is die hard paverotti but i think in a real opera house, corelli would win the vote, he is much louder but has the same quality.

Thank you for spoiling us by sharing "nothing but the best." This is OUTSTANDING - from a time when Corelli really "had it" vocally as Rodolfo. Any clips with Corelli from his 1974 Met broadcast of LA BOHEME and any of his traversal of this opera in Torre del Lago in 1976 should be forever BANISHED from any and all file-sharing services known to man, woman, and child. THIS is how Corelli should be remembered - and with Tebaldi as Mimi, too!
Wonderful !Thank you ever so much, dear friend, for Corelli's "Che gelida manina" with
subtitles. As Rodolfo says about himself to Mimi that "I squander rhymes and love songs like
a lord..." so we have a possibility (me ) to rephrase Rene Seghers "Franco Corelli : Prince of Tenors" to "Franco Corelli : Lord of Love in Opera " :-))) as Rodolfo is marvelous here.
My respect to you, Roberta
