I discovered this crazy and very strong Americana variation when working with a opponent in my reverse ownage side control. Usually, this position is great for cooking, but doesn't have a bunch of submissions available. When he pressed his inside arm in, I caught it in my armpit and Americanaed the bejeezus out of him. The birth of a solid sub!

  • it seem like it would be hard with no gi

  • @luislop85 Yes, it's definitely harder with no-gi. The gi helps in this move by creating a lot of friction across your chest, making his escape harder.
