I love the ideal,but it`s alot easier for the middle and upper classes to opt out.I hate this capitalist system,but i gotta feed my kids and keep a roof over our heads

Um, not sure of your point? How is permaculture 'opting out' and why do you presume that it's only an option for 'the middle and upper classes'? i've got kids too but permaculture is about ensuring the roof over their heads and the food that they eat is sustainable, ethical and ecological, innit!

If you could adopt a PC life, you would find a great deal more time for your kids. It's just a perception that is locking you out from doing PC. Go to David Holmgren's site for a good intro to it. Don't have a garden? Then use your balcony or kitchen sill, just to make a start towards another awareness. As we speak global capitilism is speeding up the process of locking you out so you may just find that you will be forced into PC principles, just purely as a means of survival.
