I used to watch this on Teletoon latenight just to hear the music at 0:55.

This was Von Braun's idea, that George Pal first ised 10-years earlier than this in WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE (1951), the 1950s version of 2012.

God what fun! I remember watching this when I was a kid. I'm 52 now- that would have been around 45 years ago! I love You Tube!

50 as of oct here and I recently learned that the take-off scene here - the sound effect's was a vacum-cleaner-notor being slowly revved up !!!

I believe it! I used to watch Lost in Space and I'm sure the sound for the Jupiter 2 was a vacuum cleaner too!

NASA should take some notes on this, it was really ahead of it's time.

Its a Shame that we Don't even have the Technolgy yet to even get close to FireBall XL5.... A bunch of puppets in the 60's and which i may say when i was was Kid it was my favorite show on Sat.
