I am getting speed bumps for Anna Silver School & LES Prep I love you DOT

Miracles do happen!!!!!!!! I was told by a public community member "You will never get those speed bumps." He was arrogant and he was wrong.

I am most happy for the children who will be even safer. Alfredo Felicano spoke passionately about the need for speed bumps in front of PS 25 and Anna Silver School and there were no results. Nothing happened. Alfredo spoke again at a community meeting minus the community board and still no results so I found him at the Children's Garden the next morning. I asked him to draw a map.

I investigated and found there were no bus routes and all the other schools had speed bumps below Houston but these two schools.

These speed bumps are around the corner from where my maternal Grandfather was born in a tenement house on Ludlow Street! I am sure my Gramps and Grams are smiling down at me.

Alfredo and I are so happy and the joy is knowing the kids will be even safer!

Emailed this via 311: Highest praise for DOT, for Borough Commissioner Margaret Forgione and also for Mr. White from DOT who gets the highest praise from me because when the letter from Ms. Forgione was returned no forwarding address Mr. White called me. I love children. It is the greatest joy on the planet for me to know the children of PS 25 and Anna Silver school will now be even safer because DOT approved speed bumps. I know someone who tried to get a NO PARKING sign in front of a school for kids with disabilities, because they were worried about dismissal and bussing. There was a denial, due to the proximity of the school's front door to an already existing bus stop. Good for you to push this. You are the first tuber i have seen that uses the tube to show action on the community level. right on, suzannahartist.
