  • As a boy I LOVED Room 222. At that time High school seem so far away and the kids looked so old. Room 222 story subjects were hip, topical and often controversial. Thanks for adding this to YOUTUBE.

  • In retrospect, this show has some weaknesses in some of the students acting and the inability to better develop scripts due to the limited 22 minutes of actual showtime, but, WOW, was this a breath of fresh TV when it arrived on the scene...topical, diverse, and forward-looking, with two absolutely delicious Afro-Americans in the lead..Lloyd Haynes and Denise Nicolas. Jerry Goldsmith beautiful theme; Benny Golson's incidental music. We lost Lloyd way too early and Ms Nicholas is forever a doll.

  • I think this series should be on TV again.... c'mon "repeat channels!"

  • @craigblast Really? I thought it was that way during the 70's and 80's. Today's high school kids are all hip hop fans. They seem to be more successful now than then. Am I right? Or wrong.

  • I drove by the school about '80. I thought it was so cool to see the real thing.

For some reason, it never dawned on me that it was a real school attended by real kids. I always had thought it was just on some studio lot.

  • Heshimu!

  • Creepy seeing this show used a military propaganda tool. Especially at the height of the Vietnam war, which even the war's architect Robert McNamara has now said was a travesty.

  • That's interesting....on the DVD special feature Denise Nicholas *Liz* said they used L.A. High.

  • all high school kids now are just concerned about getting layed or hi.

  • This was basically a promotional film for the U.S. Air Force (and Civil Air Patrol), shown in many high school classrooms and other student gatherings. The U.S. Treasury Department did the same thing from the mid-'50s through the early '70s, getting kids and factory workers to pay attention to their "pitches" for Savings Bonds (and Savings Stamps in schools) in "mini-episodes" featuring the casts of "THE ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN", "FATHER KNOWS BEST", "MISTER ED", "THE ODD COUPLE", and so on...

  • Kids have been naive for thousands of years. Not just when you were young. Boomer.

  • What does that have to do with Room 222?
