At least we can see where THOSE contributions come from.. Where is Snyder's bus tour money coming from?

Oh right. Blocked. Gotta LOVE transparency.

OK, so because there is a crony rewards list a mile long, the bridge is a good idea?

Special interest in this case defending HIS business. How unfair. While there is no demonstrable need for a new bridge, the governor does an end around the desire of the legislature and the people to enact HIS vision of a border crossing.

And you ASSUME the legislature couldn't think for itself in denying Michigan's involvement in a new crossing. Simply because they have received contributions.

Yes, but you have to look a little closer to see why the legislature voted no. There was a lot of fear and heavy lobbying by Maroun interests. A classic case of special interest with a lot of money, manipulating the process for its own benefit. I love the fact that he is using "democracy" to push his own agenda. He's trying to protect his own turf. Have you looked at the list of organizations in favor of the project?

Sam and Andy like Prop 6. I mean, what if ALL the legislature said no Democratically, and then ol Snyder comes along and says too bad here is a gimick to get around you guys ..

    Gimme a break.

so it appears that our old "friend" Matty Moroun has sponsored TWO proposals? I was surprised to hear about prop 5, since there has been a lot of publicity about prop 6, the one to block construction of the new crossing, which he has also sponsored as well. He has bankrolled upwards of $10 million to promote yes on the proposal 6 vote, which would make it law that any new public works project, ie bridges, highways, etc, etc, would have to be voted on individually. ugh! imagine the gridlock!
