  • Thanks for the comment. Been watching "Treme" on DVD and lovin' the New Orleans music and soul.

  • There is so much awesome in this video I find myself re-watching it all the time. The three-drummer attack, Danko in great health, Billy Preston, Joe Walsh...I could go on and on.

  • @HagbardCeline42

I feel the same way. It makes me move. When I originally posted it (I was the Director), I thought that only a few people would ever watch it. I am gratified that people who love music have found it. The band was a gas to work with.

  • @getgs Did this ever get officially released on video? I've seen it traded among collectors.

  • @HagbardCeline42

The DVD of this lineup was only released in Europe due to contractual bs. It does turn up used occassionally.

  • I worked with many great musicians in my career and I appreciate all the comments this video receives. It was among my favorites in particular because of Mac and Rick Danko's performance. It never fails to get me moving.

  • Bass players, take note: you can do a hell of a solo without that tapping bullshit.

  • The headdress is because the song is about Mardi Gras Indians, who are the opposite of minstrels. Their motto, "We won't bow down," is a shout of defiance against the forces arrayed against them.

  • @Leavitt oh shit man, you did not use the M word talking about a New Orleans musician....
