@gamenode No woman can give physical birth to any kid without being impregnated first. Men can make decisions about pregnancy and abortion when they get pregnant/give birth...until then, they will have to be content with what they do have control over, namely where they CHOOSE to put their sperm. If they can't even handle those decisions without blaming others when things go "wrong", why ask for more choices/control? Label me however you wish, it won't make your arguments more valid.

Oh the poor wymmins can't have kids without getting knocked up? Where did all those step moms and adoption agencies come from you tard?
You are a true feminist. You want equality so long as if benefits women but the moment equality hinders your privilege you demand women be treated like women and be given special rights.
People like you are the reason people like me can't stand to be around people like you.

@gamenode Women will never have the same right that men have...to be able to have a child without getting pregnant...men can have abortions when/if evolution goes that way, until then their choice ends at sperm placement...that's just the sad facts. Luckily, they at least still have the same right women have to be able to avoid pregnancy by avoiding intercourse, getting sterilized, or using birth control. Since men don't have uterii, it is lunacy to demand they have "the same rights".
-
Wrong. I am arguing for the same rights that women have. Nothing more nothing less. Women demand the right to terminate a pregnancy unilaterally. This not only ends the fetus but also ends all her parental obligations. Men should be allowed to make this same decision.
If you want to say that men having sex are consenting to pregnancy then we can say the same for women. In doing so we no longer need abortion because women are choosing to make a baby by having sex.
-
@gamenode Oh, and if a man's sperm is taken by force, he has every right to complain about paying child support for any subsequent kids...but if he gives it consentually, and he isn't some kind of learning disabled person who can't understand how babies are made or how the law works with regard to paternity, then yeah, he is scapegoating when he blames women 100% for sperm release actions that do not end to his liking.
-
@gamenode And you think woman don't suffer if they get pregnant? I've given birth twice and it isn't easy or fun. You vomit for several months. It changes your body forever. You know what, men can father a thousand kids and never go thru any of that, and it isn't fair but that's life. Women do not have "equal rights" when it comes to parenting. If the law overcompensates for that, I guess men need to take notice and watch where/how they relieve their erections.
-
@gamenode Never underestimate the ability of men to blame women. YOU are arguing for the right of men to not take ANY responsibility for their sperm placement when basic biology tells men how to avoid unwanted pregnancy in the first place. But oh no,birth control should be a woman's responsibility. Having an abortion is just like getting your teeth cleaned and women should be happy to go thru it so no men will be forced to whine about paying child support. That sums up your position yes?
-
Never underestimate the ability of a feminist to blame men. You seem to think that women shouldn't be held accountable for their own actions. That's a common belief. However, when that belief results in women being denied promotions at work because they aren't believed to be as competent as a man then you know where that stereotype originated--from people like you.

@gamenode I know plenty of men who are lousy parents who aren't in jail and some women who are lousy parents who are in jail. I also know men on welfare. You're just making generalizations and they are quite flawed ones at that.
-
@gamenode Well a pregnancy isn't exactly comparable to a car wreck but I was just going with your analogy. Men know, sex can lead to babies. Men know what the laws are, men know they put themselves (to an extent) at the mercy of women when they have intercourse because of them. If they choose to take the risk, they may have to suffer the consequences. If they don't want to take risks, they need to be more proactive by either not having intercourse, wearing condoms or getting a vasectomy.
Men sometimes do create toxic work environments. Going to a strip club as a work event? Not acceptable. Paintballing? Just because not everyone likes it doesn't make it toxic.
I have worked in several positions where I was the only man on the team. Such environments are quite unpleasant, I assure you. If I had a choice, I would be willing to take a 25% pay cut to work in an all male environment. The reduced drama & stress and increased efficiency are worth it for workplace quality of life.

I have a ton of degrees & I have seen men with lesser degrees get hired even if I do well on interviews. Employers assume women will have children etc...even if you don't want to...

Yes a common experience sadly. Just been talking to EU Commission about this issue.

"Toxic Testosterone Culture"
There can be a 10 series 100 dvd disk series describing this. Business culture is a layer of sand on here.
I like that quote. That is what I'll use to describe this culture for now on.
