To mix beats when recording music, make sure the panning on the drums is properly set up and balance the kick and bass drum to make sure they are never occupying the same frequency at the same time. Once a mixed beat sounds good and has a good energy, learn how to walk away from it with advice from a recording studio engineer in this free video on mixing beats.

  • Cool video brother. I like your vibe.

  • thanks man... i like this

  • @N3zl0 I think he's saying that when you mix it and you get that good vibe, energy, translates to you and it "SOUNDS GOOD," then leave it alone and don't over mix. He also said quite a bit on frequency, levels, and the overall mix which are all things you should understand well if you plan on mixing... Just sayin

  • best video made by expertvillage so far... lol

they usually make useless & senseless vids

  • hd tut mate

  • One more thing...ive been watching your videos. And you seem to talk alot, but you barley SHOW people how to do stuff. Wouldnt it be ten times easier for people to understand if you actually went trough it step by step on you mp or whatever??

Im startin to wonder if you actually know your stuff..

  • So, what u sayin is that when i bump my head to it, i should leave it?? All producers knock their head to their beat, but that doesent mean it sounds good, might sound like crap. Nah man, mixing a beat properly takes alot of knowledge and requires good ears...not a bumpin neck.

  • I just got the Denon D5000 but I need only 100 Ohms because my Maudio has 100 Ohms so what would be my best buy for some extra Power ? I do not need extra stuff just more power . I was looking at the Behringer HA400 4-Channel Stereo Headphone Amplifier -The Frz seem flat So I need more power ! lol Help

  • Thanks for sharing the info. So, I gotta fit the bass between the kick and snare?
