Hi guys. So I got my period a while ago and my mom has always used pads and that's all we have at our house. But idk if I wanna try tampons because people say it helps your period feel like it goes by quicker. Plus I'd wanna try it in the summer cuz of swimming and stuff. I wanna try something for my period to make it more comfortable because my heavy flow is hard and my period sometimes gets really messy and gross with pads. Anyone who uses tampons? Suggestions? Please help :(

@MeowMeFunnies Can really understand why you want to try tampons. If your periods are regular then it's okay to try but if they're not regular yet, then it's wise not to use them because you need to know what size tampon to use, and it's important you understand toxic shock syndrome (TSS) before you start. Please do speak to your mom about this. Maybe you could look on our website together as we have info about using tampons and TSS in our "All about periods" section for girls.

@GlitzyGirl345 We don't put tampons in the PoGo Pack as it was designed as a starter kit and we don't want to encourage girls to use tampons when they first start.

I like the comment you made about young girls and tampons. I totally agree! I don't think young girls should try to mess with them. I didn't start using them till later on. While, yes they are way better, I don't think that girls are mature enough at that age and everything. Plus girls arent fully developed down there yet.

@savanahliriano Well that's great - good to be prepared! Just visit the website to order one. When you receive it, the purse in the middle pulls out, so you can keep a few pads & hygiene bags in that one for school, plus you could add some spare knickers, and then you'll be totally ready for the unexpected! :)
