John McManus, President of The John Birch Society, rallied a crowd of 12,000+ at the Rally for the Republic, put on by Ron Paul's Campaign for Liberty. Listen to his speech and see the JBS booth at the Rally. How do you like taxation with representation?

  • good for Limbaugh

  • @RovingCounter Not a problem here. He runs a business and is successful at it. Good for him. Just keep that in mind when looking for principled leaders in the "conservative" movement.

  • LDS church distanced themselves from JBS.

  • @RovingCounter Yet, the head of it embraced JBS. Not to mention the number of members we have that are LDS. Our next Council Dinner will be held in Salt Lake City next Spring.

  • Rush Limbaugh will not give voice to JBS fantasies. Result, JBS does not like Limbaugh.

  • @RovingCounter "The reason I do what I do, the way I do it, is to get the largest radio audience possible to get the largest dollar amount I can for commercials. It’s a business — strictly a business." -- Rush Limbaugh

  • I got to talk to John outside the Target Center that night... real personal guy... He autographed a copy of the Bill of Rights for me... it's framed and up on my wall. :)

  • @RovingCounter "In my study of the conspiracy, which I am sure is weak compared with your own, the consequences of Mr. Eisenhower's actions in dealing with the communists have been tragic," Benson wrote in a "personal and confidential" letter to the FBI director. Eisenhower's motives were not the issue, he insisted.

  • “Anybody who will allege that General Eisenhower was a Communist agent has something wrong with him. A lot of people read such allegations because I get some of the weirdest letters wanting to know whether we have inquired to find out whether that is true. I have known General Eisenhower quite well myself and I have found him to be a sound, level-headed man." [J. Edgar Hoover testimony before Warren Commission, Volume 5, page 101]
