This Missouri officer's dashboard camera caught on tape a dramatic high speed chase that ended in gunfire. The chase began when the suspect passed a trooper going 97 mph. Several sets of stop sticks were used to disable his vehicle, eventually losing control and spinning around in the roadway. The suspect grabs a semi-automatic weapon and runs, firing several rounds as he runs. Officers quickly returned fire and after a brief gun battle the suspect died from a gunshot wound to the head. At the time of the incident, the suspect was on house arrest for violating parole on a drug conviction. (1999)

Siren manufacturers include a feature that automatically shuts off the siren when the vehicle is put in "park". Too bad most departments, like these, are too cheap or too stupid to install them properly.
