@slhone I thought Ryan did a good job as Hal. Paralax wasn't that bad I don't think,he probably could have been improved though. Rhino was a bad example. I should have said how It would be pointless to say how I didn't like how Robin wasn't in the Dark Knight so it's bad,but it was still a good movie. Those scenes would have been cool on the dvd,but they may have included things that weren't in the script anyone,so they had to be removed,so it's sort of understandable.

@nintendude24 Why I said John not being in the film was one reason it sucked, was because the director actually filmed scenes with an actor named Nick Jones who portrayed John. But then left them out. The fact that occurred SUCKED. And you can't compare a second rate Spidey villain like Rhino to John. I mean come on. But I'll give you that the Sinestro portrayal was almost dead-on. And the part where he puts on the yellow ring was pretty awesome. Parallax was horrid and Ryan's portrayal was bad.

@slhone The movie can't suck due to a lack of John Stewart,he would have been cool,but that's like if I say Spider-man 2 sucked because of it's lack of Rhino. That's not really fair.But I thought Ryan Reynolds made an alright Green Lantern,he gave a little more personality than usually I didn't hate it,but whatever. I didn't mind the villain,Paralax was fought differently but their own way wasn't bad. Then Sinestro after the credits was totally badass,you gotta agree on that one.

@nintendude24 Rather that movie was good or not is in the eye of the beholder. You think it was, I didn't. But I definitely respect your opinion. Part of the reason the movie sucked was choosing Ryan Reynolds to be Hal Jordan. The second was the villians. Third was the films portrayal of the characters. And fourth was a lack of an appearance by John Stewart, which they actually filmed but never added. They should of focused on the entire corps. as a whole. I KNOW that would of pleased everybody.

@nintendude24 None of this makes for good argument when its opinions vs. opinions. Unless theres facts rooted into what either of us is saying, its all personal views upon the subject matter. Now heres a fact. John stands out from the crowd not because hes black and the others are white, he has the strongest willpower or he was on JL & JLU. But because he seems to have less of a defining moment than any other GL. There are ups and downs for them all yes, but very few ups for JS.

@nintendude24 Your right. I don't read comics much. But I do know a bit about them. I know that Hal Jordan is over-rated and that John Stewart doesn't get enough exposure as a Green Lantern. Especially when compared to his three caucasian peers although hes nubian. Hes the best because hes goes through more than any of the others. Like s1m0nfr33 said, hes dealing with obstacles that make him stronger. You can't see that, because fanboys like you love Mal...I mean Hal Jordan too much.

@s1m0nfr33 Non of them are "believable",everyone one has had enough ridicules things happen,that's not a good argument. John doesn't stand out a lot,they each have things the define them and you'll think of a different ones at different times,but John Stewart isn't way better than the others.

@nintendude24 I'm familiar with the comics!!! I know that Hal Jordan has had some awesome adventures. So has Kyle Rayner, Kilowag, Guy Gardner and others. But theres something about John that stands out. Besides when Hal destroyed all in his path he was Parallax. Hal was redeemed from that. When John destroyed two worlds (Xanshi & Mogo) he wasn't likely forgiven. He carries that like everything else. He deals with failures that make him stronger. Hes the more believable character. The real one.

@slhone I was agreeing with you I was just pointing that out. Yeah,they should have had John's cameo,it would have been pretty cool to people who get it. Originally the movie was supposed to be about all the lanterns teaming up to defeat Paralax,then they decided to focus on one,then chose Hal. I still liked the movie,didn't you? No matter who your favorite hero or lantern is I think it'd still be an impressive movie.
