ACLU Opposes Retroactive Authorization of Sacramento Sheriff's Unauthorized Spending

On May 22, 2012, Allen Asch, the Chapter Representative of the Sacramento County Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), and Kim Horiuchi, the Criminal Justice & Drug Policy Advocate for the ACLU of California, spoke to the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors to oppose the retroactive authorization of the unauthorized spending by the Sacramento County Sheriff, specifically the money the Community Corrections Partnership plan gave to the Sheriff to re-open the Roger Bauman jail which the Sheriff took and spent in full despite delaying the opening of the jail.

The clip also includes a brief additional clip of Supervisor Susan Peters and County Counsel Robert Ryan discussing the Sheriff''s violation of the CCP plan.
