The Relief of Derry is one of two commemorations in Londonderry, the other in December is The Shutting of the Gates: each celebrating two important dates in the history and heritage of The Siege of Derry. Blackskull Flute Band lead the Apprentice Boys Association 'General Committee' on The Relief of Derry day and have the honour of playing at the Cenotaph act of Remembrance.
