This is a video of a Drosophila larva expressing G-CaMP, a flourescent calcium indicator, in muscle tissue. When the muscles experience an influx of calcium and contract, the G-CaMP emits a strong green color under flourescent light. You can see a wave of movement from the posterior to anterior of the larva during the clip.
