DQ!!!

And I thought all sprinters were failed racewalker. Thank you steeltownwheeler for your amazing words of wisdom.

yep, he's walking, but with the obvious flight phase apparently unnoticed by the judge...that's the frustration of the sport-the ones running can be passed while good technique TACTICALLY removed. Happened to me as an out of the city contestant while the home gals were favored with noticeably bad technique. Still love the sport though!

Yeah, he's floating like crazy.

ooooooh heres the debate of the century. technology should not be used in the judging of walking. i mean it clearly states that a person should only get warnings and DQ'd if they are deemed to be bending knees or lifting by "the naked eye". we cant really compare this to cricket or tennis (where they have hawk eye etc) because i think in those sports it doesnt say anything absolute about judging with "the human eye".
but this is bad, ^ he looks awful!

Racewalking is no more a "made up" sport than boxing, which imposes unnatural, difficult-to-learn rules on fighting. Racewalking started in the 18th century and has been an Olympic sport since 1906. The rules are by no means arbitrary or unenforceable. It provides a better physical workout than running because it involves the whole body. Any fit person can run but racewalking requires fitness + technique which requires discipline and perserverance to learn and years to perfect.

He should be stoned.

That is activity is in the Olympics is a joke. It's just a bunch of third rate runners who aren't good enough to compete in an actual sport. They need a ridiculous made up sport with completely arbitrary and unenforceable rules in order to compete on the world stage. There's something wrong with people who actually want to do this.

who the FUCK cares, im sorry but walking is not a SPORT. hahahahahahahaha

it depends on how fast he walk to the human eye to see the lost of contact, but no matter how fast he walk, we should see the bend knee.
This guy was rightfully DQed. They should break his kneecaps for trying to pull a stunt like that.

I totally agree with you. But what do you think about bent knee, because it is totally bent in some steps.
Athlete's say it was OK, but judges DQ athlete.
What do you think ?
