From Batman to Spider-Man, we love our superheroes. And whether they're busting bad guys in comic books or flying around on movie screens, they're more popular than ever. Jorge Ribas finds out why.

  • This is a great video. If superpowered people did exist - the stuff in the comics wouldn't be close to the reality of humanity. A real Superman would be worshiped like a god by religious fanatics, while world governments would do everything to 'recruit' them for the 'greater good' of nationalism and war (Watchmen showed that well). People would jump off a building just so Spiderman can save them. Batman would be sued into bankruptcy. The fantasy of superheroes is good enough for this world

  • danny swann is damn sexy!!! i wanna have his babies!!!

  • The Punisher!!

  • Skepticism and other negative reaction is what X-Men portraits. I will totally agree with this simply because people call others freak just for being different. But the best example of discrimination in real life is racial and gender discrimination. If these things happen then the possibility is immense that a superhuman will not be looked up as a hero but as a treat to society.

  • @leefbeef U really don't like ppl having a sense of humor, do you..?

  • Interesting video clip...

  • @DiscoveryNetworks Thor is my favorite hero. He's immensely powerful and actually has a violent and dark side. But after living life as a human for a while he has chosen to be restrain these tendencies because of the effect it has on humans. He doesn't have to protect Earth. He does so because he sees potential in humans.

  • @Tripp393 No. It was the person who filmed it.

  • Damn they cut out the radioactive butt :'(

That depends on your definition of "superhero." If you're talking about someone who was gifted with abnormal powers, Spiderman. He's a guy who overcomes times when he was weak, bullied, and scared, and does something right. If you're talking about average guy doing awesome things, Batman.

Personally, I'm more fond of Batman overall, as he is a regular human, just with enough cash to drown a continent.

Also, love that the Rocketeer was in this. That movie is so win, imho.
