This music is "The Beach" by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis, from their album "White Lunar". This track is made for the film "The Road" (release i late 2009). I do not own this recording.

I love this song made for The Road! Check all the six songs by Cave and Ellis for The Road on the album "White Lunar"!

  • @Godzilla1985 Hi! Well, in the book they don't reveal what kind of incident it was. That is because the story is supposed to focus on the human, emotional bond between people. It was the author's conscious choice not to describe the incident - just because he thinks that whatever disasters MIGHT happen, we need to know what's important in life.

  • my dad passed away some time ago .. and i watched this movie .. and i just cried my eyes out at the end cause i know that how sick that he would be he'd do the same for me.. god i feel so connected to this movie :)

  • @Abobojo God is not cruel but we ourselves doing wrong things to earn money just. This money (mainly pollution, wars, sins etc) is the cost that our next generation can't be paid. Look how weather is changing, sea surface raising, floods. snowing. Yes, god punishment would come as consequence. I pray to god, you can do anything, why can't you make us all understand.

  • @grcacar My English not much good, and I might not be right. I don't think it as a result of asteroid or volcano but something similar to it. These were the aftereffects of war definitely, spread over years and years, due to smoke in the sky all the trees had been died. You also saw gangs. When people are hungry don't have anything to eat, nobody care about them, so they had to join them. That's why boy said how long we will be good.

  • @2010pices it's not an anti war movie ffs. Where did it ever imply there was any war? By the clues in the movie, the change of climate, animals and plants dying etc, it all points to a large asteroid, or massive vulcano explosions all around the globe. Or probably both. Either way the reason to the apocalypse is not the subject of the movie, that's exactly why he didn't even bother writing what exactly happened.

  • "I'll talk to you everyday." That made me cry to bad! T_T
