Tapestry Garden/Women Transcending Boundaries

A community garden for refugees and other families near Assumption Church on the North Side of Syracuse, New York. A collaboration of the Center for New Americans, the College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY-ESF), the Northside Collaboratory, Syracuse Grows, Women Transcending Boundaries, and many donors and volunteers. Spring planting and growing season, 2009.

Thanks for your comments. I'll try the lightplanes theme. I love the "jaw-dropping" effects of animoto's programmers, and I am on the leading edge of the baby boomers generation. Surprisingly, the other leaders of Women Transcending Boundaries in Syracuse (an interfaith women's group) really like the effects also, and some are older than me. I get complaints about the quick transitions in animoto from some other viewers ... younger ones at that! Maybe I should make 2 versions of some videos!

Great video with great photography and message. I used the same tune last year in an video done of the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center and the San Antonio Botanic Garden. It works really well with pastoral subject matter.

I like the 'lightplanes' theme they have. It makes the images easier to see and not so MTV and lets me tell a better story. I got complaints the jaw-dropping graphics were too much for a lot of my older viewers. I attached a 'lightplanes' themed video as a demo...
