450+ veterans converged on Congress to ask for the chance to win the war. Dave Bellavia introduces John McCain and Lindsey Graham rocks. Sadly Dave is accused of racism for using Tiger Woods in an analogy that athletes should not be considered heroes.

  • Of course this is racist. Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles can see that. What else is new? America should expect this from MOST but not all Republicans/Conservatives.

This is why there will NEVER BE an overwhelming majority of BLACK CONSERVATIVES OR BLACK REPUBLICANS. We think that Republicans and Conservatives are a bunch of racist hypocrites that just like to hear themselves talk. They claim to know Jesus with their mouths, but their actions say otherwise.

  • Your choices of Stevie and Ray is actually racist since you picked them because they are black. Bellavia chose Tiger because he is an athlete. Now go away you racist.

    Cordially,

    Uncle J

  • Actually stupid in case you hadn't picked up on it I'M BLACK!!!!! Also I picked Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles beause they are both BLIND!!!!! Meaning even two blind people can see that this guy is a racist. He chose Tiger because he's biracial and so is Obama. That's the closest example he could get and use to try to belittle the man. We'll see if Bellavia gets elected to the seat he's running for.

  • It hurts me to indulge you, but Eddie Murphy informed me they were both blind, but why them and not Helen Keller. That's the absurdity of the whole thing. Race should have been irrelevant, it was in the eyes of the man who used it.

    Cordially,

    Uncle J

  • Living in Idaho i know what real racist are. Who is accusing him of being a racist? And what comment I do not see it here. My god people should listen to the stuff out here.

  • SSG bell is not a racist shit I ought to know I was one of his medics in kosovo and iraq and as a blackman that wasnt a racist remark

  • If anything, it's the people decrying his statement that are doing as you said, "interchanging a black for a black" or that is at least their first reaction, which would prove what's really on their minds

  • SSG Bellavia is a true American hero. While guys like Obama "thought about serving", Bellavia and thousands like him put on the uniform and served in harms way.

  • that wasnt raciest but anyway their is a difference between sports athletes because being a war hero needs courage and is life threatening and tiger woods was just born with a talent hes still a great role model but War heros have been through a lot more

  • Hmmm? I don't know... I read about this and then "Youtubed" it... I don't really think that was racist and I'm black and very sensitive about racism... I think the comparison there was sports athlete vs. a "war hero"... but I could see how someone could think he was just interchanging a black for a black... in other saying we all look alike... but somehow I don't think that's what he was doing...

  • That's not even racist! I'm tired of all these people pulling the race card and feeling sorry for themselves. If you think it's racist it's because you make it that way. as you can tell from "dwj91"'s comment, HE is the simple minded one, singling out the white race. dwj91, if there is anything on this page that is racist, it is your comment about white people. Bellavia is a hero and more of a man than anyone on this page. Read his book, maybe you'll learn something.

  • what a racist bitch

  • did you not listen to that speech, he is talking about the quality of a role model. the issue of skin color is moot. read bellavia's book. he fights next to guys of other races, and has nothing bad to say about them. listen to the speech again, and you will find that it would have meant the sme thing if he said " you can have your Larry Bird"

  • I don't know whether I should laugh or cry that someone can fight in the Battle of Fallujah (in a platoon composed of African Americans, Caucasians, Hispanics, and Filipino Americans) and be nominated for the Medal of Honor, and yet Keith Olberman would have us remember him as the "Tiger Woods comment guy".
