I also remember Hugh Rose when I was a teenager. My parents bought his first recording: a 45 RPM record. On one side was the song, "The King and I", and on the flip side was the song, "I Was There When it Happened."
Brother / Pastor Rose passed away a few days ago. Today is September 26th. His intro from the old Harvestime Radio Program, his always pleasantness and kindness displayed at the Ohio campground and everywhere else will be missed greatly. And, yes, he could sing! Thank you for this video.
this is amazing!! My mother said the choir as led by Hugh Rose was what led her to the Pentecostals in Indianapolis many, many years ago. I remember being in that chuch a few times in the 60's and hearing him sing. I could feel him ministering thru song even though I was so young at the time.
I used to like to hear him sing this song at General Conference, especially the line that says, "my brrreath my sunshine". A very talented singer. Thanks for posting this video.
My family is deeply connected to Bro. Rose. My grandparents were friends of his and my mother and her sisters were taught by him at Calvary Tabernacle. A one of a kind, he has always been a hero of our famly. They sure don't come like that anymore.
Rest well O'man of God rest well!
