  • @seangworld As a radiologic technologist myself, for most radiographs, it is impossible to x-ray the patient when they come down in a bed, not to mention, it is very difficult to maneuver said bed in the radiologic testing rooms. There have been so many times when the transporter has thought they knew better than the technologist and brought the patient on a bed, who then had to be moved to a stretcher anyway once in the radiology department.

  • @leibigd not when i was a transporter. and in addition to the above video, depending on the type of xray the pt is getting, another option is to take them by bed since sliding them to the gurney may hurt their back, but if using a sliding board correctly, their back wont hurt a bit.

  • Except its usually the other way around where the transporter constantly tries to talk our patients out of their x-rays.
