what is soul sleep?

The teaching that the spirit of man goes to sleep once we physically die. I prefer to call it spirit sleep, because unlike soul, spirit is never used to refer to our physical bodies.

But what about the Nephilum being of women? Does Gen. not say they came from the daughters of men?

Something would be "wrong to think" simply if it is untrue.

You are right about the Nephilim being born from women. This agrees with Numbers 13:33 as well.

Shawn, I have a question you call soul sleep is heresy and The story of Giants in Gen 6:4 to also be heresy or misunderstood as having relations with women. Hear is my question SDA's and JW's believe in the concept of soul sleep. they deny the giant story though. I have investigated the claim of soul sleep compared to instant heaven or hell. both seem to have valid points. I think it can be both because time is not the same to YHWH. I'm not dogdogmatic on either though....

I have a JW book titled "What Does The Bible Really Teach?" with a copyright of 05 and on pages 98 & 99 it teaches that angels got it on with women. Perhaps they changed their doctrine at some point.

@Tylorne This text was found with the deed sea scrolls. If Jesus referenced it we should understand it & use it. I suspect our Creator saved this 2 b focused on in the last days. Lucifer is the King of lies, the author of deception & the true "alien" of this world.

@preachinshawn Yes they are after our women Shawn. The devil's seed was cursed in the book of Genesis, which makes you wonder about the fruit and the departing sin that was committed. Could Cain be the Serpent's seed. The meaning of "Serpent" in German may tell us something too. This gives new revelation into how we where born into sin ...how all men have sinned ...how we all have fallen short ...and how we all need Jesus to be saved.
